Artichoke Fest – Strunjan, Western Slovenia

Strunjan is a small village on the Slovenian coast surrounded by the beautiful Mediterranean natural vegetation protected as a Natural Part. Strunjan is hosting two fine food events yearly – the Artichoke Fest held traditionally in May and Persimmon Festival (which we also publish on this site), which takes place in the middle of November.

Artichokes are the local products of the region and they will be offered in many different varieties. You’ll be able to taste some autochthonous dishes from Artichokes specific for this region, enjoy Cynar special liquor from Artichokes and buy products made of this special plant.
