The celebration of St. Martin’s Day on Karst – Karst region, Western Slovenia

St. Martin’s Day in Slovenian Karst is a regional traditional event worth visiting. Karst is a region of a captivating landscape, known for its great food and unique wines. The place is picturesque, mostly farming, packed with natural sights and old, interesting villages.
Event central point will be a market in the village of Štanjel. The market,  wine estates and wine cellars in the region will be linked with the free bus service. The event will include a lot of complementary activities: visit of the Karst museum, 10 km run, culinary delights, and kid’s entertainment.
Yes, and we should not forget tournament in Briškola, a traditional card game in the Mediterranean and very popular with the locals.
