Festival Vinarium, Grape Harvest – Lendava, Eastern Slovenia

Lendavska trgatev (grape harvest in Lendava) is a traditional early autumn wine and food event, with many additional entertaining performances. It is dedicated to the celebration of the grape harvest, one of the most important vineyard tasks in the year.
The vineyards of this region are located on the hills behind the town of Lendava. In the relatively small wine region of around 500 hectares, more than 4000 winemakers produce primarily white wines. The region is small but versatile and easily accessible – it is the most compact winemaking area in Slovenia.
Due to the vicinity to Hungary this region is an interesting mixture of Hungarian and Slovenian cultures. This can be seen in many local traditions, folklore and traditional culinary which will be displayed at this event.
