Idrija Žlikrof Festival – Idrija , Western Slovenia

One of the typical dishes which originate from the Idrijja region in western Slovenia is Žlikrof. Žlikrof is dumplings made in a special distinctive shape filled with potato stuffing. The dish was widespread among the local mining community and has been going through a renaissance in recent years. Today Žlikrof can be found either as a traditional dish or as a modern version of contemporary cuisine.
The Idrija žlikrof is a Traditional Specialty Guaranteed (TSG) product registered in the European Union. The Festival will be a showcase of this beautiful dish and will present the masterpieces of local manufacturers and chefs.
