Jestival Food & Art festival – Kobarid, Western Slovenia

Jestival is a one-day Food and Art festival held every year in a little town of Kobarid. Kobarid lies on river Soča – divine, turquoise coloured and the astonishing clean alpine river which flows along the Slovenian border to Italy and is one of the main touristic attractions of the region.

Jestival is a  holiday of the good, the tasty, the homemade and the indigenous. Jestival will present:
– local restaurants and tourist farms with their offers of local and traditional goods, ruled by Kobariški štruklji,
–  local artists with their varied offering of unique products,
– local beer, homemade liqueurs, Slovenian wines

Local dishes will be offered at the central square in Kobarid, while workshops will take place there and everything shall be enriched by vintage drops of Slovenian wines and the selected music. Tasty, educational and fun!

In the last few years, the region established itself as an ideal festival location, featuring great organization and smart marketing. Jestival is a food event which promotes local food and art.  The festival is a great start to explore other culinary masterpieces of the valley such as Hiša Franko – renowned restaurant in the vicinity of Kobarid.
