Polenta Festival – Ozeljan, Western Slovenia

Polenta Festival will once again fill the streets of Ozeljan, the small village in western Slovenia. Ozeljan lies close to the city of Nova Gorica in the entrance of the beautiful Vipava Valley.
The event celebrates Polenta, an ancient dish from the Roman times has become through the history an essential part of North Italian and Slovenian cuisine.
In Ozeljan you will be able to taste polenta in many different varieties, some traditional and some surprisingly innovative. The gastronomic event will be accompanied by the art and entertainment program.
Poletna festival is one of the many food events held in the region every year which are commonly branded as “Energy of Tastes”. Other events from this package are Chestnut Festival in Vitovlje, and the Šempas Wine Festival which is also presented on our site.
