Potica days – Bled, Northern Slovenia

Potica baking demonstration is a pleasant food event which takes place in advent time on the Lake Bled. Potica is the most famous Slovenian dessert, enjoyed during the main holidays, especially during Christmas and Easter. It is a symbol of national cuisine and depicted on many covers of cooking books. The most popular and widespread potica is made with walnut filling. Potica baking demonstration will be held on the idyllic Bled Island, which is certainly the most known island in the country (to be completely honest competition is not really strong; there are only a few islands in Slovenia; from the records, there is only one tiny sea island and couple of river and lakes islands). On the event, you will be able to taste delicious potica, toast with a warm drink and join the tour around the island and famous good luck bringing bell tower.
