Specialties of Slovene farms – Ptuj, Eastern Slovenia

Specialties of Slovene farms is the largest event of its kind in Slovenia. It offers a huge variety of awarded food, wines, and spirits from the farms from all over the country. The products can be tasted and purchased: the fair also boasts a lively cultural program.

This is the event with a long tradition and is a great opportunity to find out more about typical products of Slovenian farms. The event takes place in the beautiful old Dominican Monastery. The monastery, established in 1230 is located in the center of the oldest Slovenian town Ptuj. Ptuj is renowned for its Roman history, an interesting old part of the town with a castle and, according to Lonely Planet one of the best carnivals in the world.
